Monica Reeve - Tasmanian Artist

Plato's is very happy to be able to showcase these gorgeous items by Tasmanian artist Monica Reeve.

A little bit about the artist:

"Hello, I'm Monica - Tasmanian artist, author & illustrator.

I am passionate about showcasing the beautiful flora and fauna of Tasmania through various artistic processes which can then be enjoyed in a range everyday items.

Tasmania has always been my home and is where I gather much of my inspiration, such as my cottage garden, day tripping adventures, native birds and flowers through to majestic mountain ranges and seascapes.

I love creating and have been creating art ever since I was a child. Heavily influenced by my artist mother, my childhood was always filled with creative opportunities. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of my mother painting en plein air landscapes whilst on holiday getaways. Today, I love creating original artworks and designing products which make my art functional and accessible to all - think one of a kind brooches, hand coloured wooden flower presses, totes, greeting cards etc.

Wherever possible I support Tasmanian and Australian business partners when purchasing resources required for the creation of my art works.

I am committed to ethical and sustainable practices in relation to the reduction of plastic. I look for and use plastic alternatives, such as recyclable, compostable and biodegradable products in my making, products and packaging. Any protective plastic used, will be recyclable soft cello and for ensuring your item arrives in excellent condition.

My studio is a smoke free environment.

I quality check EVERY item sent out - I am super fussy and would never send out an item unless I am 100% happy with it.

Kind Regards

Monica 🌱"
